The Housing and Planning Minister, Alok Sharma, has recently been meeting social housing tenants across the country in a series of one-off meetings. Further meetings are planned in the New Year. The purpose of these meetings is for him to hear, at first hand, the issues and concerns tenants have regarding social housing and to gain an understanding of how tenants can have a more effective voice.
The Minister acknowledges that not all tenants will have an opportunity to attend one of these meetings. Therefore, the Government have published an on-line survey for all tenants to have the opportunity to make their views known. The survey will close on the 31st January 2018.
The survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/tenants2017
The feedback from the survey, and the Minister's face-to-face meetings, will inform the work being undertaken on the Government's proposed Green Paper on Social Housing to be published in the Spring of 2018.
If you would like to submit your views to the Housing Minister please take some time to complete the survey using the link above.
