More than 130 pupils went back to school at the start of term with new uniform, PE kit or stationary, thanks to our help.
We used money awarded to us from the government’s Household Support Fund via Wiltshire Council to provide families with vouchers to help alleviate the pressure of this expensive time of year.
We wrote to all of our residents with school age children, offering them the chance to apply for a voucher. As a result we awarded £7,000 worth of vouchers in response to 101 applications, with 32 households receiving £100 vouchers and 69 households getting £50.
We know the worry parents suffer when having to find the money for new unform, especially at the end of the summer when money is tight, so we are grateful to the support from the government and from Wiltshire Council.
