The Association development aims are:
To provide affordable homes in villages throughout Wiltshire, Swindon and the surrounding areas for local people in housing need, thus contributing to the long term sustainability of villages.
To achieve high quality developments using a design which is both cost effective and affordable, which will provide an attractive and economical home environment which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
To build attractive homes which enhance their locality and which residents and the whole village can be proud of.
To work closely and with the support of the stakeholders involved in the process.
Arms Farm, Sutton Benger
3 x 2 bed and 1 x 4 bed houses for affordable rent and 2 x 2 bed houses for shared ownership at Sutton Benger, nr Chippenham. The developer, Stonewood Builders, started work on site in July 2019 due for completion in the summer 2020.
Hill Close, Bruton
8 x 1 bed and 2 x 2 bed apartments and 2 x 2 bed house for rent for social rent in Bruton, South Somerset. This exciting and very contemporary development of 12 new homes, built by Acorn Builders, is being constructed in two phases. Phase one due for completion in February 2020.
Manor Farm, Winterbourne Monkton
1 x 2 bed and 1 x 3 houses for affordable rent and 1 x 2 bed house for shared ownership. This small scheme in the village of Winterbourne Monkton near Avebury, is being developed by Rivar Limited. They expect to start on site January 2020 and complete January 2021.
Wheatley Farm, Ashton Keynes
3 x 1 bed apartments and 2 x 3 houses for affordable rent and 3 x 2 bed apartments for shared ownership. These 8 new homes, developed by Chris James Construction, are now on site and under construction. They are expected to be completed in April 2020.
Stag Hill, Chilton Foliat
2 x 2 bed and 2 x 3 bed houses for affordable rent and 2 x 2 bed houses for shared ownership. This S106 scheme is located separately from the main development and provides a cluster of 6 homes specifically for the Association on a small parcel of land next to Chilton Foliat primary school. The developer has now been granted planning permission and is currently finalising the detailed drawings and specifications. A start on site is expected January 2020 and completed January 2021.
Barton Farm, Chapmanslade
