Developing homes for the community.
The Association development aims are:
To provide affordable homes in villages throughout Wiltshire, Swindon and the surrounding areas for local people in housing need, thus contributing to the long term sustainability of villages.
To achieve high quality developments using a design which is both cost effective and affordable, which will provide an attractive and economical home environment which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
To build attractive homes which enhance their locality and which residents and the whole village can be proud of.
To work closely and with the support of the stakeholders involved in the process.
The Association continues to work tirelessly in the provision of new affordable homes for people in housing need living in our rural communities. We are progressing well against our target of developing 115 new homes by March 2025, although future provision may have to be reviewed due to the current economic circumstances, such as rising costs and high interest rates, which make building new homes more difficult.
Since 2020 the Association has completed 49 new homes, both rented and shared ownership. We currently have 22 homes 'on-site' across 4 separate developments with a further 18 due to start in the next 12-15 months. This includes 6 homes in Broach Chalke, 4 homes in Ashton Keynes, 6 homes in Tisbury and 2 homes in Box.
Homes currently on site are:
