Cherry Bennett

Cherry has worked in Human Resources in the public sector for 25 years.  Cherry is currently the Director of People & Change at Bath & North East Somerset Council where her portfolio includes leading the Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Change and Inclusive Communities teams. She has been a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD for the last 10 years.

Cherry has spent much of her career leading large teams to deliver employment services and support, training and development as well as organisational change - with employee engagement and employee voice at the centre.  She is a qualified coach and creating the time and space for others to connect, to think and to tackle the challenges they face is where she feels most inspired.

Cherry has lived in Batheaston for the last 7 years and enjoys exploring the hills and valleys right on her doorstep.  She is passionate about how the community comes together to tackle issues of climate, sustainability and nature and with a daughter at the local primary school is keen for community conversations to involve future generations.
